Owen Sound, ON, June 19, 2015 – Airships, pirates, a gunpowder plot…

Rebecca Diem is returning to Owen Sound’s Ginger Press Bookstore and Café for the launch of her second book in the steampunk adventure series, Tales of the Captain Duke: From Haven to Hell (140 pp., tpb, $10.00).

After a successful tri-city tour last fall for The Stowaway Debutante – including a standing room only book launch at The Ginger Press, steampunk soirées in Ottawa and Toronto, and a guest appearance at Toronto Comicon – Rebecca Diem, the pen name for Chatsworth local Becky Dier-McComb, is coming back to where it all began.

Readers are invited to join Rebecca at The Ginger Press (848 2nd Ave E, Owen Sound, ON) on Friday, June 26 at 7 p.m. The evening will feature a reading, Q&A and book signing, along with other steampunk goodies.

Set in an alternate Victorian era filled with steam-powered gadgetry and shocking developments in gender equality, the adventure continues in From Haven to Hell as the Captain Duke and his crew return to their hideout to uncover the traitor in their midst. Now that Clara has joined them, she must decide whether to trust her new friends before the secrets of her past tear the pilots apart.
